Description:
Hey guys,
Does anyone want to let go of or sell for a decent price any GIANT freshwater fish (5 Foot+) that have outgrown their tank and/or need a good home in Fresno, California? This is for a large private property 500,000 gallon lake (picture below) that currently has some Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, RES turtles, ducks, plenty of insects, zooplankton, phytoplankton, algae, etc. We would like one or two behemoths that could thrive in this kind of environment. (If you have other fish that do not fit these requirements that you would like to go here don't be afraid to mention it). Interested in any offers or ideas from you guys!
Thanks!

Haha thanks Dloks. It is pretty hot here (probably making the oxygen levels too low for sturgeon? Im not sure). I have been looking into Sturgeons and Mahseers but large ones (4'+) that are not over $200 seem hard to come by. I have also been looking into siamese giant carp but those are even harder to come by lol. Gator Gars are awesome but with a dog that likes to jump in the lake id be worried about him being on the menu lol

California has some very strict regulations concerning the stocking of private ponds and lakes. A stocking permit (and fee) is required for most bodies of water. Fish and plants may only be obtained from licensed hatcheries/fisheries within the state. If approved species are to be obtained from outside the state, an additional import license is required.

Hey Oddball, thanks. I know we have multiple CA state licenses but will have to ask the actual owner of the pond about what exactly they are for (He has done licensed research on rarer species of fish at the location before, I believe). I am his relative. We have been interviewed by the local news here before on some fish actually! I'll check out the guidelines and contact them and the owner should anything else be needed depending on the species. Thanks
