son wants frog that can eat some large prey. but he does not want the lfs norms: pixie,african bulls, african clawed, or any other non aquatic. im looking to set up a 1/2 and 1/2 so american bull would be best. hopefully before his bday in couple weeks.

Get him a Pacman Frog. Those things eat like elephants and they don't take much to keep them content.
yeah pacmans are not on his short list of bullfrogs. he wants a frog that gets in the water and can eat mice on land. there is a screwed up story behind all of this too. i actually caught a large female while fishing over a year ago, and decided to keep it. he loved it. i kept it at my house for him. (seperated from his mom...suchs from the parenting side!) then shortly after, i seperated from girl of 4 years and she flipped so hard, she sold the new tank and frog, and alot of my other stuff. damn! so he wants another!
I can get you one for free, but shipping would probably kill the deal. Just check small creeks and swamps, I've caught some the size of chickens before.
