WANTED TO BUY, FEMALE FRONTOSA.

I am in need of a healthy female. She must be at least 3 inches I would say. I have two males and am looking to get some offspring. can anyone help me out? Post or PM me with a price. A picture would help and shipping or PickUp info in CA is appreciated.

Well as a ex- Zaire Frontosa keeper....Cool!

Id tell you to get the reverse trio 1M-2F

What Frontosa do you have?...dont want to cross breed them....

You might be better off buyin a trio of Wilds if you are honestly gonna attempt to breed them....If you do then Id say buy Moba/Kapampa/Kitumba's....any Zaire....That way if you get them to breed and produce fry you can sell them for a little more than the more common Burundi's......

To find a good trio of Zaires go to Aquabid.com.....they have a coiple good people selling them at reasonable prices for a wild trio of adults....@400-500.....you get what you pay for with these fish...so dont go cheap.

Hope this helps you....Not what you really wanted, but this is the best way for you to go if you dont already have Zaires....

Oh, I just noticed your signature of what you have...... :WHOA: Not good!

You dont need another female, you need a BIGGER TANK before you even think about adding another one!

At min. 125 6' long atleast.....that way they can have room to swim and dart off (which they are known to do!)

A 60 gal :WHOA: is way too small for what you have!

Do your research before you buy anything else on them.....

www.Cichlid-forums.com
and
www.cyphos.com

These are great sites, you will learn a lot about what you are getting into.....
These fish are mianly one species fish tank or other tang's i.e. calvus or birchardi's

GET A BIGGER TANK!

i am getting a larger tank. it is a 185 (about) gallon. My boss ordered it for me from clearforlife.com. she has a very good realationship with the owner and we do a lot a buisness with them. this is sort of a temporary home for them for the next several weeks until the tank is done.

 Hey can we see picks of your 2 existing fronts? Nangu Blue neon?

They are a fairly new strain in the upper part of lake tang.....

Looks like the kitumba almost.....

thats great to hear you are getting a larger tank for them :clap

Didnt want to come off as rude before, just hate when people buy front's and put them in little tanks......

Check out the 2 sites I said before and you should be able to find what u want there

no big deal, yeah i can take some pics. i have been trying to get a good one but they have been so shy durring the day the best time to see them is at night and especialy under the moonlight. its so cool that i came up on these fish. a guy came into my store and tried to sell them to us and we told him we dont have a huge demand for them so he said **** it and he gave them to us. i took them home because they just would not have been happy in our small tanks. he said he was moving and wanted them gone. i forget where he said he boguht them from but he did say they were from a collector.

There are only a few places that have them inported in....good "steal" of them....they go for @100 a peace unsexed.

Check those other stie and get more females atleast 4-6.....so you can have a good ratio.....you want 1 male to 2 females.....3 would be idea.... One alpha male, and one beta male...other wise they beat each other up....so a colony of 2m/5+ females would be great and a awesome site in your new upcoming tank....

But dont get anymore fish until you get that tank!
