I will be moving next month and want to take my fish with me, looking for locally a container measuring 48"x48"x24", I live in the Los Angeles area

Go to Wal Mart and get a big plastic box.

:iagree: , except I'd go to Target :D

If it's a long trip, read HERE

Check out Ebay...theres a place locally here that sells the 4x4x2 bins for under 200.00. Very simple to convert into a safe and reliable transport tank...They have the added advantage of bieng designed to be moved by forklift. We plan to use several of them when we move our monsters to the new ranch.

MUCH MUCH stronger than rubbermaid tubs or storage containers.

Hope you're providing for a large truck to handle a bin that size. It's going to hold over a ton of water weight. That's alot when considering carry capacity, acceleration (sloshing effect), and braking inertia.
