Hi~ Like the title stated, I am looking to buy new/used FX5 or any BIG filters for my new tank.

Also, I am interested in getting some bio balls and bio ceramics....

Please let me know if you have some for sale.

I locate in s.CA, orange county area

Thanks,

Jerry

thank you so much bro~~!!

i need those for my diy sump...

yes... i am interested... when are you availible ?

Thank you for the info.... :)

I am trying to find some spec of the marineland you have...
As you already know... the filter is goin on my new 180gal.
I want to build a setup w/out running too many filters like what i currently do (kinda messy).....

From my other thread abt filter, a lot of ppl told me FX5 is a good choice for me.... however, i am still open to any substitue w/ similar capability...

3.99/ pack is not bad.... I need probably 6~10 packs plus my old ones (I used to pay $8~9/pak... sigh~)... that should be enough... i guess...

i have 5 tray Jebo canisters for $90 good up to 200 gallon tanks. i also have bio balls, carbon and ceramics. Ceramics and carbon are $2.00 a pound. all new from warehouse

I got my FX5 on Ebay for $149.99 plus shipping and tax. I think it was $180 all together. There is a bunch of them on there from a place called monster pet or something. You have to bid though, the buy it now is full retail. $299.99
I filled it with pot scrubbers in the top and bottom basket, the middle is full of biomax rings. Cheap.

What does pot scrubbers do ??

pot scrubbers has alot of surface area so beneficial bacteria can colonize and the media is cheaper than anything else (rings, bioballs, etc..)

you can find them at 99cent stores for 6 pcs.
