WTB - Freshwater Eel Miami, FL

Hello all.

I am interested in purchasing an eel for my 155g cichlid tank.

I've never had an eel before, but saw a Snowflake Eel at a Petco and fell in love with the idea of keeping one.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions as to where I could get one here in Miami, or if you are willing to part ways with one of yours.

They're truly not freshwater. They typically live in brackish to salt.

not a good idea to keep a freshwater moray in freshwater. I keep mine in pure SW.

Fire eel all the way! Would look nice in your tank.

I went to my LFS and they have "Tire Track" eels as well as a tiny (about 2.5") peacock eel.

They didnt have anymore eels at the fish farm? They had the fire eels on the tank to the left of the peacocks.

Actually you're right mate. They had Fire eels at the Fish Farm. The tire track eel was at the Exotic Aquariums place.

if any of you guys see "White cheeked moray eel" sold in the freshwater section of a store locally please let me know, been looking for one for ages..last saw some at Beverley's Pet Center in 2006 or 2007.

I have a nice foot long fire eel I could sell you but you should know they love to hide. I have this one trained to feed in the light so it comes out as soon as you drop in a few ghost shrimp. Figure $65 including USPS priority shipping (I'm in Fort Myers) if interested email me jt747@comcast.net
