Anybody selling Kirin/Kilin (Not sure what they are called) parrots? Has the body of a BP but coloration of a flowerhorn. Any help is greatly appreciated. Tried going through my LFS and owner told me he had never heard of them. Thanks.

What part of Texas you at? There's a store in Dallas that has been carrying them and you can pick out the ones you want that way.
Im slightly North of San Antonio...I will have to check it out if I am up in North Texas. Do you know the name of the store?
those ones at petzone are "technically" sb flowerhorn... they say they almost never get ones with the notch and parrot mouths, which is technically what a kirin parrot is.... they did tell me that both the males and the females of their strain are fertile though... hmmm. and personally i think 20 bucks for a fertile male sb with pear like that is a fair price. as long as you dont ship it far... they told me 90 bux on two to okc (oklahoma)
In my experience pet zone does not bother shipping out duds or fish that arent worth the effort. The shipping is costly because they only do overnight, larger fish do better with less shipping stress so seems they care about the well being of their fish. Plus for $20 a pop you are really saving money if you cant find them locally. If they are fertile and breed true I need me a pair!
