hi guys, I would like to set up a puffer only tank but my LFS don't carry any puffers. If any one here is willing to sell me one please let me know. I live in dayton,ohio but i am also willing to pay for shipping depending on the cost
 
I'm lookin for small fresh water puffers hope i'm not polluteing your thread BTW
 
Looking for different puffers my self but think i may just get one of those or south americans

hey guys. I am mostly looking for south american puffers because from my reading hey seem to be most tolerant of others of same species. I would like to have more than one puffer in tank so if anyone has any suggestions, please post them.
 
south american puffers would be good baddfish PMd me about getting some mabye he can pm you to
 
The reason i don't wan't South american puffer is that there teeth grow fast and usually need regular trimmings

I have a pair of m/f Carinotetraodon loreti puffers - true red eyes - that I'll let go for $40 plus shipping. They don't get along so well - the male used to chase the female but now it's the other way around, to the point that the female makes the male puff - so they should go in a MINIMUM of a 20g planted.

I don't have any pics due to a camera smashing incident about a month ago, but they look just like stock pics. The male has a nice red belly and his tail is a luminescent light blue.

These guys live in a very mixed 50g, and are fine with other fish like quicker tetras, plecos, etc. They have been nipping my angelfish and mollies.

They are also one of the few true FW puffers out there, so no brackish set ups required.
