Does anyone know a place in socal or does anyone have any saltwater that has already been cycled?

I already called my local fish stores and they said that they only sell freshwater that still needs to be cycled. Does petco really sell saltwater?

Scripps Institute has a tap on their filtration plant where you can get cycled/filtered sea water from their public displays.

huh...my lfs has saltwater... all you have to do is come in with your 5gal jug's and your set..... also petco.... they have it at mines also.... where are you located in socal?

I guess I should also ask if it is possible to buy saltwater that has already been cycled so that I can just add fish? I am trying to setup a quarantine tank and dont want to have to cycle it myself.

Then you should just take old water from your tank, but I think you still need to cycle it anyway

What do you mean? I dont have a tank cycled yet. I am in the process of setting it up but wanted to get a quarantine tank ready so when the show tank was ready the fish would already be ready to go into it.
