I am interested in buying a thai silk in the chicagoland area...does anyone have any for sale or have any advise to where I may obtain one... I am not comfortable in having one shipped. Please pm me with pics or phone numbers.

May I know why people are so interested in thai silk?
and by the way, if you want to buy, post in market threads that may help you.

dont think the golden aquarium has had them for a while now.
I'll sell you mine. he's 5 inches. Say $100 per inch?

Does it come with the crack you're smoking? They had a 7-8" one in their last week.

No I'm quite stingy with my crack. I go in there once a month or so and it's been about a year since ive seen them there. For a second that is all they carried flowerhorn wise.
Ask Killergx I think he goes by on here. I'm pretty sure he has a few left. He sold me mine for $20.

I have purchased a few FH from killergx..he has a great collection. I have never been to golden aquarium and have never ordered fish online...I am always a little scared to spend up to 100 for shipping the fish die on me. Do u guys ever think they will hit LFS? I am also reading they are not as hardy as other FH has everyone found this to be true.

They're not as hardy as regular flowerhorn imo they get sick real easy. Be careful and de-worm and treat them for parasites when you get them. Be careful not to mix them with sick fish and keep them in clean 84* water dosed with salt, good filtration, and high aeration.

I suggest ordering one off of aquabid from Rainnybetta for $20. Trans ship them to Julie for $2, and shipping should be around $35-45. Shouldn't cost you over $70. Shipping really isn't that bad. Just pay Julie and make sure you're home the day of delivery (usually next day) and it's guaranteed.
