WTF? Aquatic insect in bichir tank?!`

Guys I just woke up and saw this awesome looking little guy crawling around the floor of my tank. I do weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) water changes and I know the tank is pretty clean even with the bichir's large bioload.

WHAT IS THIS??? IS he bad?? He looks AWESOME but I don't want him to be a parasite. Any idea?! I've NEVER heard of a random insect just growing inside of a tank. No new plants or fish for a while now, how did he get in????

doesn't look like a dragonfly nymph... its too skinny
its a damselfly nymph...

left is a dragonfly nymph
and the right is the damselfly nymph

Something flew through your window, plopped an egg into your tank, and flew off. Feed it guppy fry and other insect larvae for best results.
 
i agree with manlyfish, surprised its lasted long enough for you to come across it, if they dont eat it and it actualy matures and leaves the water theyl probly see it as better prey when it trys to fly and hits the water again. i think it can scavenge on the meaty left overs. WIERD AND WONDERFUL random one
