WTF! Found bristlenose dead along with my heater!

I am in the process of moving and Sunday eve. I went in my sons room to feed my juvie cichlids, pleco, and striped raf. Looked in the tank and saw the pleco upside down on the bottom. I grabbed the net to get it out and when my fingertips touched the water thats when I noticed the water was very cold. Checked the thermo. 65deg!!!!!!!! Ahhhh. Stole the heater from my jags tank immediately. Added a little warmer water. About 2 gallons. I had to stay at the new house last night, and working today. Praying the rest made it through the night!

and thats why you buy a digital thermometer with an alarm. you set the min and max temps, if the water goes out of those perameters it beeps.

that sucks bro I lost several fish before do to my heaters thermostat got stuck in the on position I would keep a close eye on your fish to make sure they do not get ick from teh sudden temp change

Thanks. I will look into the thermo-alarm. I got the temp stabilized. Fish are coming to the new house tomorrow. Cant wait.

check ebay. thats where i got mine. i've never seen them in my lfs's.
it was 40 bucks but i beleive it's a great investment.
