I introduced this female at 8" to my male carpintis and it started changing. Did I end up with a low grade Red Texas? The male is from a reliable source but the female was bought at one the fish stores in Long beach.

Check it out.

I think they spray painted it and it wore off after a while.

Ok I'm joking. Maybe someone will know what's up.

Lol, it looked like a regular carpintis when it was purchased. Whoever painted her did a great job unfortunately he did not use a permanent paint :D

She has the exact same shape as the male carpintis and pretty much looked like a normal carpintis prior to this morph and hitting 8".

She done "peeled", as the flowehorn enthusiasts would put it. :D
Some of those red texas out there look really nice but to be completely honest most fo them are trash. Too bad folks don't cull carefully or at all.
She's cute though. I kinda dig her color. Makes me think of orange flavored ice-cream. :grinyes:
Hey I gots a naughty idear! Why don't you pair her with your sexay Jag x RD/Midas. :naughty:

BTW I'm not typically into Texas but your male is freakin hot. :headbang2

Lol, You can't put any fish with the Jagxmidas cross. Just too mean. I need to tell my friends to stop buying and giving me fishes. They all end up as hybrids ;(

Yeah, the male is getting big and is turning more blue than green now.
