For my 55 communtiy, I have had to go through dozens of angels before I had a pair. They lived for 5 years. know I am trying again. I have already gone through 2, know there are 2 awsome looking 3.5" body, 5"+ high black veil angels. They look healthy, but won't eat. There has good 2 be a few angel intro rules I don't know.

are you just placing pairs in at a time? or are you putting larger groups?

Are you trying to get a breeding pair? The way I finally got a part was to buy a dozen dime size babies, and let them grow and choose their own partner. I've never had a problem getting any angel to eat. Mine would eat 24/7 if I would feed them that much. Have you tried giving them Live brine shrimp? You could also try frozen anything Blood worms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp. My pair also seem to really like cyclop-eeze. It's s little expensive, But it's cheaper than replacing fish. I also keep my angel tank at about 82 degrees. That could be another factor.

2-3 at a time

yeah, that's your main problem man. Get a larger group of say no less than 6 and wait until they pair off. The more you get the greater chance you'll get a pair.

not trying to get a pair for breeding (that would be nice) just heard their more social and community in bonded pairs. I will try it

I have four angels in a 75G community tank that have not paired off yet, my temp is also not as high its around the 78-79 range. Will they still pair off and can they still breed at this temp?

I don't want to get anymore but if I have to I will, it's been around 3 months since I got them.

I would take them from nickle sized bodies to 2 1/2-3" bodies and mating pair off in 6-8 months, I start with 12 in a 55g
