I woke up this morning and looked at my tank. i notice something silverish white on the gravel. i then realized it was the cichla's poop, is this normal?

yea i feed them feeders last night after i put them into a new tank.

First you need to find out what it is. And you really need to confirm the correct treatment before just throwing Meds into your tank. What Cichla are we talking about also? How long have you had it? And what are the current tank mates?
