Came up stairs and found a couple fish chewing in this and the mofo is alive wtf is this thing is there more? Do i need to nuke my tank help

i don't know the size of it but it could be a detritus worm maybe?

If that is a regular fish net it is in then that is way too big to be detritus. I honestly have no clue but is there more than 1 that you can visually see

I personally never seen or heard of a detritus worm that large. I would definitely remove that from the aquarium.

What fish are in the tank? Anything wild caught? When was the last fish added?
My suspicion is a jettisoned intestinal worm

Looks like a round worm. I’d keep an eye on the fish for a bit.

Do you feed earthworms to your fish? A few years ago I had something very similar in my stingray tank. I figure that the stingrays didn’t like it and spit it back out.

tlindsey The only wild caught fish is my Nigerian lap, and she's been with us for a couple years now its the only one I can see in the tank. Preacher my daughter does like to go up in the woods and flip logs and rocks over lookin for earthworms to feed them

At first I thought it was a long thin slice of tilapia (usually how I cut it but I didn't feed tilapia yesterday and so I sat and looked at it and thats when I noticed it moving
