i increased my ph in my tank and my "srs's" lips have gotten swollen and my low grade fh has hith. why? my water is fine! regular 20g water changes on a 55 weekly. help meeeee!!!!!!! i hate to see them like this.

The swollen lips sounds like mouth fungus, but need pics to confirm. Both HITH and mouth fungus do not just come on by increasing pH. These are cumalative effect. I believe by increasing the pH, you are putting stress on your fish which increase the onset of mouth fungus and HITH.
Why are you trying to inc. your pH and by how much? Are you trying to inc. the hump?
