wtf steath heater

so i was downstairs watching tv then went up stairs to check on my my 20gallon long tank to see if the the 2 indos were fighting that were still in there cuz they are still a lil small for the 210. saw them acting strange and saw that the 2 clown loaches and bristle nose pleco dead and then put my hand in the water it was so hot that it felt like my had was gonna burn. so i kind of panicked grabed 2 bags from the stand filled them up with some of the water put the indos in there then ran downstairs to the 29gallon and floated them for a bit put the divider up in the tank and they seem to be doing better the smaller one seems to be moving around more. im probly gonna end up staying up all night so i can keep an eye on them. im never gonna buy a visitherm stealth heater again. what a great way to start the weekend

yeah I've learned that you get what you pay for with heaters also

That's a pity. Visitherm used to make great heaters.

i only added some salt and another airstone

i'm got 3 stealth heaters from marineland and they have been working so far so good, plus they have a lifetime warranty

I wouldn't do much else now. Sounds like u aclimated them
the right way.
Another few minutes and maybe they would not have made it.

go for the Pro version, they are good but kinda expensive though

Speaking of FAILED heaters i had an ETH in-line heater burn a hole and drain 10 gal out of my 75G.

At the end of it all i contacted ETH and sent them the pictures they sent me a replacement at no cost and were happy to help! no fish died and the replacement has been working for much longer than the original.

the smaller dat has been slaming down ghost shrimp but the bigger one just looks at them go right by his face. havent seen either of them go for any blood worms. but they both look alot better than they did when i first put them in the 29g. so who do i have to contact about the heater for warrent? also would then send me the new version or the older version?

Yeah those heaters are junk....I had one and it was shocking my fish. I have know several people that have had them malfunction.
