this morning when i woke up i saw this thing on its anal, i thought it was just weird poop. but when i look at it at night, it's still there and he DID poop (black normal poop) with the thing still stuck there and i think i can see blood on it too. should i get him out of the tank as it will affect my other fishes or he will be fine? but what is it it's SO WEIRD AND SICK like his bone is coming out from his anal

It gone away and after afew weeks which is now it came back again! Hey I'm worried please help!

this is a tricky one, if you can get some clearer photos it would help. i would stop feeding those live items as they are definite hosts for parasites which may be the case here. it may also be an issue with the digestive tract of the fish, but it's hard to say from these photos. i would increase temp to 82F, increase water changes to 50% every other day, and feed it frozen food, not live...hopefully the problem will go away on its own. if it is parasitic you may have to treat, but we should wait and see.

if the gar is eating normally you are at least still in ok shape--

He acts as if nothings wrong... And he won't eat any food but live frogs and fish

Looks like prolapse..

Ruii, you need to at least reduce the gars live food intake and start giving it pellets or MP. as e_americanus has said, do that, and try getting better pics!

I would hate to starve a sick gar. However I completely agree on going to pellets, or at least frozen foods...

what is that? is it serious?

i can't get anything better.. i only have an iphone4 to take pics .. so what might this be prolapse ? parasites ? digestive problem? but i dun think is digestive problem as it is pooping well
