Okay so I started noticing these little fly looking things floating on the top of my tank and now I see this it looks like little larva they stick to the glass and move like slugs what can I do to get rid of them the tank get 2 water changes a week and they don't seem to go away what can I put in to fix this problem but it had to be ray safe cause its in my stingray tank
The rays seem fine an still act completely normal so I don't think it's effecting them but its really bothering me

Looks like planaria. That is way bigger than the size that pops up in my tank from time to time. Comes from over feeding and will go away with gravel vac and a bunch of water changes. Harmless to your rays.

No substrate it's a bare bottom tank and I've had planaria it's not planaria I can literally see full flys with wings floating on top on the tank I don't understand everything I try doesn't work getting rid of it

Ok I thought it looked a little big to be planaria but it does have same shape and color. Only thing I've had other than planaria is mosquito larvae but they are grey and swim around in the water bending their bodies in half. Have you tried matching anything with google images?

Can't help but keep thinking that those white worms and the little winged bugs are two separate issues. Is your tank open on top?

No I have glass tops to only openings are a very little where my heater wire goes in and where my in and out takes on my filter go in and some times I see the little larva things moving threw the water and they do exactly what you said the mosquito larva did they bend their body in half but the little flys at the top are definitely not Mosquitos I have no idea I've tried salt, extra water changes , higher temps, I whipped down the glass everyday for a week straight nothing has worked and I have no idea what to do its Getting pretty aggravating

I hear ya man that sucks. Wish I coul help more. Might be hard but I'd search the net for fly's and thier larvae to try and match them up. Maybe it's a native bug to your area. Maybe you could get some small fish in there to feed on them?
