eating live food, has never been bitten or hurt from the Armatus (KNOCK ON WOOD.....Yet)

looking for a 30"+ aquatic light

Pbass (except Ocell) must be between 5-8"

60gl+ glass tank (must be glass)

It depends on the owner and tankmates.

They grow rather slow and the biggest reported (or I hav heard) is about 18"
They are power swimmers so for Adult I would say something with a foot print of 8'x3' min.
Id say you would need a tank that size in about 3yrs from now based on his size. If you have aggressive tankmates 8X3 deff but I think you could get away with 8X2

Im sure people will dissagree with me but I have him in a 50gl right now and even thou he is being chased, no damage on him

u need a long tank, they can get to 6th gear in 1 sec and most break there neck by slamming in to the sides of the aquarium..They are very skittish IMO and allot people paint the ends of there tank black to help...

I had my biggest at around 7" or so and once he got used to my tank, I had no problems with him. He just played tag with the other VATF all day.
Bites here and there but once he was solo, he hardly banged the glass
