Hey everyone,
heres a question that i tried to look up.. wut would i be able to feed marine predatorial fish if i cant feed them freshwater goldfish or gupies. In my marine bio class in scool we fed our marine predators fresh water gold fish and now i think we r feeding them guppies.... of all my reading i saw that feeding freshwater fish to marine predators is bad due to not giving the marine predator the right amount of vitamins a salt water feeder would hav.... i also read it can cause death or disease over time.. so if i cant feed them these fish wut can i feed them?

Mollies work, I have also used live smelt and anchovies, but most predators will learn to take market shrinp, cod, sea perch, etc, and even pellets.

I use a bamboo skewer from the grocery store to feed all my fish non live foods and it works very well.

Yo Devive. I feed my boys a mixture of krill, mysis and golden minnows, and they are doing absolutely fine. It may just be me, but I think your delving a little deep on this one. And What are you planing on keeping that could munch damsels in a twenty gal? If your still planning on an eel or a beta, anything over the size of a median size minnow is too big. And once you eel gets to eating anything bigger than a small gold fish, I'm betting its time hes in a bigger tank anyway. I'm also betting feeding what ever you get, feeding it damsels is gonna add up price wise.
