Very interesting, however, heres the rest of the story.....The were holds that went native. They have wives children and in my opion desided there might be some money in going to the mountains and have someone find them... Its never what it seems to be when you dig a little.Phatboy said:
Something similar happened in guam some japanese soldier was in hiding after getting seperated from his division. stayed in hiding well after WWII was over and i believe he remained in hiding until he was found in the 70's or 80's. dont know the exact details but ill post if i can find them.
