I don’t know
Anyone bought from there folks?

really want Florida gar but the reviews are suspect

Could you link questionable reviews please? I'd like to read them for myself.

I personally have just found out about them half a year ago from a good peer friend Muckfish Muckfish who is in Stuart FL and has a large natural pond (he has a thread on it too here). Muckfish bought from this vendor several times and has been impressed with the quality and service, excellent packing, never a loss, never DOA. I spoke to the vendor a few times also planning to buy some fish but haven't yet. Their prices for small fish are excellent.

They just replied to my request that I could buy a 5ft+ long nose gar from them for $1100. Just an example that they have / can get more than what you find on their webpage. They have not been good on the timing of our email communication but IDK, maybe because right now it is off season. Smaller hatcheries like this can't afford to miss out on customers I'd think.

I have purchased from them. They are not always the best at communicating but it is my understanding some of this has been resolved.I was told they are a working fish farm and at the time didn’t have a dedicated staff for emails. What I suggest is to call and confirm the species you want are in stock and confirm if they’ll be shipped that week. I have done just this and was told the fish would ship and they did. Previous to this I had an order that didn’t ship and weeks later I find the fish didn’t spawn properly and they did refund me no problems.
I have received 5 orders from them. Catfish, tilapia, bass, and have had no DOA or issues and they always send a few extra fish in my experiences.

When you see a simple number indicating that a retailer or an individual product has bad reviews, I think it pays to actually go in and read some of the negatives. If there are, for example, 97 five-star reviews and 3 one-stars...read the one-stars. It is often abundantly clear that many of those are posted by people who simply cannot be satisfied...or are too dumb to figure out how to open the box and get the widget out...or dropped it out the window of their truck while hurtling down the highway and are now upset because it's broken. Read between the lines.

A single good review from a trusted source you "know"...such as the one above from thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter ...is worth a dozen snivelling complaints from whiny children.

IME they still don't have a dedicated staff for emails. Hence I'd heed Muckfish's advice to resort to verbal communication via phone.
