saw a 2" wyki catfish at my LFS today when I was picking up fish food. my questions are what is there max size and growth rate? and what do they eat when there small (the size he is now)

from what I have read about them, i think they grow to around 70cm, but they are an aggressive species.

assuming you are talking about hemibagrus wykii that should be fine for quite a while max is around 3' (but most don't get that big) Wykii's are one of the most aggressive catfish out there and I would not recommend housing with anything else growth rate is not very explosive but with normal feeding regiment it should be less than 3" per month ime
It will reach a foot in 6-12 months and slow down much from there. The biggest I've met in captivity was 2.5'. Mine 4 small ones ate anything and everything. 300 gal tub will last a long time.
there's a 6/7" one in my lfs atm im really tempted but the aggression towards my other cats is putting me off big time
I'm curious to see what they look like but can't find any info under 'wyki catfish' when I Google, can someone give me a scientific name?

im tempted to but the aggression factor has me 2nd guessing it. idk what to do. its so cheap at $6.99 but the aggression -_-
