What's the primary difference between these two (or three, depending on how you look @ it) fish? Basically, I want to know the difference in price, size, etc. of the X-Backs compared to a silver or black aro.

And are X-Backs considered an asian aro like the jardini?

X-backs are 1000000000000000 more expensive than the silver or black arowana

silvers are the cheapest usually running between 15-60$ depending on where you live

black run between 100-300 for juviniles, again depending on location and size of the fish.

oh and jardini's re NOT asian arowana

they come from the continent of australia

cost would go xback then black then silver. i believe silvers are the largest, blacks being slightly smaller, then the xbacks

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing up my jardini comment (Need to make sure I have accurate info in my head :)
So minus the fact that I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to purchase one, how much do x-backs usually go for?

with a xback it all depnds on how much you want to pay start price hear in the UK is £1k

Damn...I'd rather not spend that much money...I was just wondering what the different types of x-backs were and how much they cost typically.

Another thing to mention is that Asian aros are illegal in the US so an xback is gonna set you back more like 3 k lol.

And to clear up

silver/black = South American

xback, super red, rtg, green etc = Asian

Jardini/leichardti = Australian.

Jardini can be found quite cheap in this area. Recently saw a 5" jardini on sale, wholesale price, for $15.
