X Box360/Msn messenger question

As some of you might know, when your 360 is connected to the Internet, you automaticaly sign into MSN. Now, when you sign into MSN, you have a display name for everyone to see. How do I change the display name while on xbox? Like I'm seriously confused about this, and I tried like everything.

Help is greatly appreciated.

You can turn it off in the preferences to not sign into your msn messager. Thats what I do.

Also I don't think you can change your status message other than away or offline.

I would like to keep MSN on, just change what the words say. In not trying to change the status at the moment.

Your name is what you set up on MSN. Your status will be whatever you are doing mine is: Xbox 360: Watching A Video (Evil Yard Gnome)

Do you use the text pad for the controller? It has a cool MSN button on it so that when you receive a message on MSN mid game you can just click it and start typing and not have to go into the menu to respond to the message.

Nah, I don't have that mini keyboard. Its pretty cool though. The funny thing is, when I go on my computer, my name is different then the one on the xbox.

Odd. I signed into my other account that is not linked with my xbox and signed into my account on my xbox and my name is the same name that I setup on my PC at work.
