I was just wondering if you were to keep say a male motoro and a female motoro and maybe a hystrix or something along that line would they all mate? more important I suppose I am asking would the male mate with a ray other then another motoro?

yes, cross-breeding has occured with rays. I have seen some really nice rays that have been cross-bread, leopaldixpearl, etc.

is just keeping the rays in a suitable envrioment enough or do they need certin conditions to breed in? Any particular tank sizes/shapes to breed rays? Im kind of curious about this I want to get into ray keeping but also the possiblitys of breeding them as well. tank mates a problem?

who has crossed these two i would like to see and hear about that very few people in the world have ever breed a pearl ray let alone cross breed it that would be very interesting

interesting is, that there was a pearl and a leopoldi pair in that tank. But the leopoldi male mated with the pearl instead of his leo female.

It has happened in zoos as well, that have community ray exhibits. A few henlei x motoros were available a couple of years ago. They were pretty nice.
