Would it be possible to x-ray fish to determine sex? Maybe C.A.T scan? Are there any technicians in the house?

x-rays just allow u to see bones so IMO i doubt that would help and C.A.T scans arent cheap either....i cud be completely wrong though

I know x-rays show bones. I have broke a few before.(not my head)lol. But doesn't x-ray also show outlines n different shades for different organs n tissue. I might be wrong it been a few years.

Yeah xrays will show like the heart, liver, etc. I'm not sure if it would be possible to determine gender in a fish using that though, might not be enough definition?

I've often wondered if you could DNA test a fish for gender. In birds, you can use a blood or feather sample sent into a lab for like $40, and they can determine gender. Not sure if this is possible with fish...?

Doubt any different none structure as don't think fish have fry bearing hips. Lol. Might have to do some investigating the DNA thing! Your right its 35$! I got my parrot done a year ago!boy turned out to be a girl!lol

I think it might be a CT scan not a CAT scan. I'm not sure, I had one once and well.... everythings kinda hazy and foggy after that point since they tried to filet me after it. You would be able to see the organs but fish are kinda tiny. A human female reproductive system could be held in your hand quite easy. I guess on the up side though fish tend to have less organs to get confused with.

+1 to you sir... I guess some people have a good enough education to outsmart anyone out of their money: http://www.whoi.edu/page.do?pid=10897&i=721&x=208
