I know I have seen this subject somewhere before but can someone please refresh me about the xanthic (yellow) jag? How is this species created and I want one!! haha:nilly:

I just had one of those like 6 months ago, I sold it . . . j/k

There was a big buzz on here a year or so ago when a vendor claimed to have produced some. Turned out, to everyone's disappointment (none more than his own, I'm sure), that some pink convict fry had contaminated a batch of jag fry.
You're not the only one who wants to find this fish, if it still exists.
Heck, I'd be happy to find a gold morph jag somewhere.

It was bred with a female and then the offspring were crossed with each other. Theoretically they resulting fry should have shown 25% xanthism, and yet not a one changed color even up to the 8-10" range.

Truly a unique fish.
