L427 is the darkest form on L114 (males can get almost all black) with small spots on the head (like L600) but with less orange on fins. One of mine (~11") has turned yellow from black in less than 2 weeks. I think it is interesting, but she will probably turn back to black soon. It is in my central system with no changes in the tank for months. I've seen pictures of this occurring in many species of plecos. Do you have one?

Um... This is odd, mine just turned 75% yellow as well within the last couple weeks. This is the first time any of my L427s'd done it.

Color change has continued. All brown is now gone and is very yellow and orange. Now to see how long it stays this way.
