The mystery is how to turn them yellow permanently. I have read hypothesies of color change related to dominant males, optimal conditions and food type. Obviously, noone really knows. Any experiences that any of you want to share?

Here are my 2 animals:

When I got my xanto 2 years ago he was mostly grey with yellow on the fins. About 6 months ago he turned 100% yellow and a month after he turned all gray with a yellow head.

like i said m8 mines only ever went full yellow when i got him ive only had mine for about 3 months though so if theres any change in mine ill let you no

forgot to add i dont no were to get a xanto i had to go about 300 miles for mine to rare aquatics (crewe, england) they said they were very rare and hard to come by, there one of the best L number pleco importers in england and they know there stuff so you might struggle getting one, they may not be uncommon in the USA im not sure.

Is that also called a chubby pleco? If so that fish place in lancaster PA had a few last week but im unsure if they are still there.
