love it,golder prob b.c of lighting+black tank are lights on 24/7?
Lights are on a timer for 12 hours per day. That hasn't changed since I got him. He just ages like fine wine and the gold shine gets higher and higher. He's not crossed yet but someday he may. There is gold on the 6th level but he's been in a black tank since he was 7". From some reading on another forum they recommend keeping them in WTT till they are 14" to reach their maximum potential much sooner. If you go by the pearlies he should cross.
