Hey Everybody,

Random, but I've been having so many problems with my xbox live. Don't know whats the problem. I keep getting disconnected all the time... I would test connection...all good.. then play a game or directly after the test I get "disconnected off xbox live"...annoying as hell especially if you play black ops zombies a lot and when you get up thier on the levels and get disconnected :irked:

Any ideas on how to get the best connection? Can't use eternet cable...as the computer is 3 floors under me...

Wish I could grab some xbox worker and have him come to my house and hook me up with a bullet proof connection!

Also btw I do do the steps for solution...everyday at least 5 times a day!

How is your signal strength at your xbox? Not so much how many bars but how steady is it? You may try a new router ( I know not a cheap option) but I had troubles for years and tried everything and finally broke down and I haven't had a problem since.

I really don't think it has anything to do with live. You are just looking for a scapegoat to your internet problem. Seems to me your internet provider is slacking or you just have awful connection/router. if it was live everyone on live would have that problem and I do not.

IBSF?

Don't by what you mean by steady I usually see 4-5 bars (think thiers 5)
I'm willing to change the router and modem if need be... tired of dealing with this "disconnected" BS...

Any great routers out thier? Should I change the modem too?

I think IBSF stands for "i ban sony fans" in Chrisplosions words..

I can't recommend a router as my internet/phone/tv provider provides the stuff! but may I ask why it's three floors below are you in a mansion? 3 floors is a long way for a wireless connection to go through and most likely lots of interference is it possible to move the xbox closer to the router?

Edit: I sat there to long to think of something clever to think of for ibsf and chris responded :(

In before Sony fanboys. Shot in the dark, does it go out when the phone rings?

+1

Obviously your bandwidth or signal is inferior, do you have a password on your main internet connection? Other people may be taking up a lot of bandwidth! Hardwire is the best option IME, run the cable from the router directly to the back of the 360.

If you plugged a ps3 in it would do the same thing.
