She's about 5-6". There are 2 female xilo's in the tank but this is my favorite of the 2. The other one stays hidden most of the time with the male sagittae.

And as a bonus there's also a pic of my adult male brown bristlenose. I have a male and female that had spawned for the previous owner but haven't yet for me, though I don't really expect them to in the 125. I might wind up moving them to the 55 and see if they'll spawn in there. I guess if that doesn't work I could throw a heater and a sponge filter in the 35 gallon tote I use to help with water changes.

lol I know what you mean. they're so ugly they're cute :) I have 3 albino bn in my 75 as well that I think are a male and 2 females. I know there's one of each but the third one stays hidden most of the time.

Good Looking girl!

Thanks :) The one thing I love most is that as time goes by she gets a little more and more black on her...what I had really wanted was an orange/black female. When I first got her she pretty much only had the black mask across her face but as you can see she's getting some on her gills, quite a bit on her fins etc. I'd LOVE for her to breed with the big white male but he has never show any interest at all in spawning.

I just saw your tank in another thread and asked what that fish was on that thread. Perfect timing for me finding this thread minutes after. Very nice looking fish, how is the aggression level?

Not bad at all so long as I keep them in the 125. I tried putting 2 different pairs into a 75 alone on 2 separate occasions (not both pairs together...one pair once and then later swapped them out for the other pair) and aggression rose quite a bit. In the 125 they get along fine with each other as well as with other cichlids such as carpintis, synspilum, black belt etc. There is the occasional chase here and there but there are no missing scales or torn fins so no physical damage at all.

Nice xilo! I've been wondering how big the females get?

Unfortunately I can't tell you that yet. I've only had the 2 females that I currently have since June/July. When I got them they were around 4" and now they are probably close to 6". These 2 females were from a separate order from when I got the big white male. The original order I placed was in Feb of 09 and I wound up with 2 males and 2 females. By the time the 2 males were 8-10" the females were still ~4". Unfortunately I lost both of those females at separate times so I ordered the 2 new females over the summer. I'm hoping they'll get at least to 7-8".
