Xingu 1 Pike sex

By coincidence, I have just put down a deposit on a Xingu 1 myself, and have the choice of a tankful of four inch orange pikes. And my question, too, was how can you tell what sex? I will be watching this thread.

When they're older and mature it's easy to tell,but mine is very young and I'm not sure when they go through their color change. That's why I'm asking other if mine is currently going through it or not.
I know females get pinkish bellies and a white stripe on the dorsal, but if you look at mine the tips on the fins are clearish white so idk if it's a female changing colors or if it's just a young xingu pike

thats something ive wonder but im not sure. i have attempted to vent the pike and it looked female in comaprison to how you vent other cichlids, but still unsure if thats the case with pikes
Ya unfortunately a google search only turned up rift cichlids. Maybe if you can post a picture of the vent, someone here might know
