idk i mean pike aggresion goes so far some can be timid others can be beasts like my cousins xingu 1 lasted in a tank with 4 red belly p's and would slam them to the ground if they nipped at him and he was a beast i had a small venz in with a dog fish, snakehead, and rocket gar and florida gar and he did just fine but he was more timid. but now i got a sveni and hes the boss of the tank, hes in with two juvie jags and and oscar that hes beaten nearly to death i kno it sounds bad im takin the oscar out but still it really all depends on the individual fish i think but if theyre a breedin pair ya that might get pretty mean

Yeah, Im thinking the answer is a no....

If i'm not mistaken Xingu are one of the more agressive pikes, but i'm no expert. Peanut Power would know.

you would probably be okay with one, but not a male/female pair most likely, especially if they're a spawning pair

All of the loaches, bristlenose, danios and barbs will be food at some point. None of these fish typically get over 4 inches. My big male has eaten cichlids bigger then any of those get. Everything else should work.

If you don't do the pike, get atleast a dozen giant danios and a dozen tiger barbs. They will be happier and they will look better cruizing around in a school.

Thanks Folks, Im gonna pass on the Pike, Do not want to risk my Geo's or Loaches! Thank you again for the great responses!!

Probobly a good decision. Xingus are nuts and will instantly try to eat any fish they think they might be able to take down. Less than 5 minutes after I released mine into a South American aquarium, he tried to eat a small Festae I thought was way too big for him. He bit the Festae from underneath and was swimming around with it in his mouth. I got him to release it, and put the Festae in a tank by itself, but it died a couple of days later.
