I've noticed that xingus look very different from one another. Especially the black stripe/dotting. They also range in blue, green, gold and brown even when they are kept in the same tank and diet. Here's one that caught my attention tonight.

Very much so...just like kelberi, orino's and so on. I think azuls are one of the only cichla species that all keep the same look for the most part. As for xingus....just look at the difference between yours and Hulons Ken. Its also cool how stuff like back grounds and substrate can drastically change cichla colors.

Azuls have differences too but theyre more subtle....cheek markings, oclet tail markings, and the number of bars...other than that yea the colors are pretty much the same.

They are all eating Cichlid Gold and Massivore.
Here's another one taken the same time. Same tank and all siblings.
