Could be the Cobra although they are consider Tapajos II. Most people I've known to have them say they get aggressive especially against its own kind.

never seen any for sale either. P probably had some before...

Never known a pike to grow slow.

lol looks like its raining. yeah looks like a young Xingu II. good scoop.

def still young as it hasnt made its color change yet.

looks nice, try to get it out for a full shot hopefully with color.

what size tank is it in and are there any other fish?

From asking around I've found they rarely catch these pikes for exportation as they dont school as much.

its in a 18" wide 50 all by itself. Used to live with a school of Exodons but I moved them. Any Idea how big they get. I've heard anywhere from 8" to 14". Hes about 8" right now so i would imagine they get bigger.

Doesn't really look like xingu II to me. Mine didn't have that spotting on the head so much once they started gettin larger. They had a more pronounced eye spot as well. Give us some more body shots...;) The tail ocelli should be rimmed in gold...;) Heres my thread of my three when they were about 8" long...;). Should give you some ideas on their coloration and what not. They get more yellows and reds as they get larger...;)
