I was just at my LFS and they have 2 small orange pike cichlids. They're about 4" long. I know they get about 12" long total, but how long does it take for them to reach that size? I've got a 29g right now that's cycled and would be able to start a larger tank in August. Would this work?

Also, what size tank would be good for them? I can go find any tank, but would rather not set one up that's too big. In short, is a 55 ok, or do I need a 75,90,or 120?

Thanks

i have 3 and they eat like there is no tomorrow. they are 5 to 7 inches in size. i have had them for just over a year, when i got them they were about an inch long. very cool fish.
