Hi I have a 250gal tank running now and I have a 8in (sort of snakelike) tiger knifefish, would a xingu pike eat it when it gets bigger? The tiger knives get about 16".

no but it may harass or kill the knife. or it may be completely fine you don;t really know larger tank and hiding spots plus other fish and dithers may help.

tbh The real question is where in the hell are you gonna get the xingu pikes?? lol

Ok. assuming you get the xingu pike smaller than the knife I bet you'll be golden. My old male xingu pike was 16 inches long and thicker than a coke can although I do suspect he was over 8 years old. If the tiger knife will get that long i think it'll be ok unless the knife grows really slow it can get choked down easily since they're pretty slender

Lol sorry but they haven't had them in stock for years... Idk if you know or not but there's been a ban on a lot of Brazilian species since 2005 and these guys have been on the list... Extremely rare these days... Aquascape needs to take it off their list...
