Raised from 4" in 10/07 and now 18"-20".
Eats XL frozen smelt and shrimp...no need for live feeders.
Was kept from a small size with other predatory fish (arowanas, japanese perch, peacock bass, arapaima, bichirs, tigrinus cats, gars, red tail payara, raphiodons, etc.) without any problems.
Very healthy and eating like a pig...usually swallows four or five 8" pieces of thawed smelt at every feeding.
Local pickup in Los Angeles, CA so bring a large, wide cooler or shipping box with a heavy duty liner.
If you are not local, you can arrange for your own shipping with a SoCal vendor but this will be at your own risk and expense. I will drop it off to your shipper, but that is all I can do...I will not ship this to you myself.
Price is $888.88 and you will not see many at this size anywhere, much less for sale, so get one of the biggest armatus around.
Here are some pics that I've taken over the past few years, along with a close up shot of it's face I took last night so you can see that it's currently in great health.
