XL L47 Mango Pleco--are they coming back?

I saw that snookin has 7-9" L47s. Haven't seen them around at that size for quite sometime and they are super slow growers. Anyone have any info on whether or not the larger L47s are coming back to the hobby and prices will drop? $250 with shipping is pretty steep

That price is pretty high IMO. You can always get a smaller one that is only 3 inches for 40$ or so. Plecos eat and poop and grow that's all they do some grow super slow and some grow slow. If you get one post pics! I have had one for a couple of years and when I get to see him he is real close to 5 or 6 inches. A real good looking dude

These guys grow really slow. The only one I kept grew to about 7" and died = (

I haven't seen a mango for sale here for several years, so I recon that price (for me) is about right.

I just picked one up from my LFS at about 7-8" for $100. Nice thick body too.

sharkaquarium has a large one listed on their site for $200. Might be worth looking into. tho with shipping it may be more then snookin's

If you're in the midwest, check your LFS's availability. I know of one major supplier that has them. Just depends on where your LFS gets their stock from.

I live in nj the one at SA is a ok not the best one I have seen. I got a small on for 40$$$ at 2" here is a pic of the one I picked up
