Found a filter intake replacement for an xp3 that isnt blue? or shall I say has anybody found a black intake pipe that will work with xp3s? I just got one for one of my small tanks and the blue intake pipe just bugs the $hit out of me...any ideas?

I had the same issue. I bought a grey plastic conduit male/female threaded coupling and epoxied the female conduit fitting to the blue u-shaped intake. I then epoxied a section of epoxy carbon fiber tubing from Tap Plastic to the male conduit. This way, I can unscrew and remove the intake tube/strainer assembly as needed.
The first models of the XP canisters came with all black fittings...but they later color coded the intake blue to make it easier to setup for newbs. Im sure you could possibly contact the company and see if they have any of the old ones lying around...or somebody has any they arnt using. I have an early model XP2 running on my 45G piranha tank with the all black fittings...blends very well with the black tank backing.
