So I unplugged it and then pulled the lever up.
but when I took the black thing out from the filter, water sprayed everywhere..which thankfully stopped in a second.
but do i have to go through this before every maintenance?

I lift one end of the black thing SLOWLY to allow air to escape. Then I detach it from the canister.
Same and I've never had above said problem with either of mine.

oh..i was in a rush.lol

so if i take it off slowly water wouldn't spray right?

i did that same thing my first time, lol. but if you lift it off slowly it works like a charm

Do it a lot slower, if you tug on it hard then the pressure that has been built up causes it to spray. I only experienced this problem a few times, other than that they are good.

haha so is there absolutely no spraying if i do it extremely slow?
