i have a chance to get a used xp3 for $60.00 US is it to much current for the 15 cichlids that will be in the 55 gal?

thx in advance.

Jump on it. Cichlids will be fine

I have an XP3 on a 100gal. Cichlid tank (with a Jebo 828 as backup). They love it. The tank is setup with the powerjet nozzle one way and a powerhead the other way. I have 2 current streams that circulate the water in a circle? heh. Anyway, when I feed, the frozen cubes break apart, get caught in the jetstreams, and the fish chase them around like live food. It's the best!

on the xp3 great filter i had 1 for my 55 and great but they dont last that long and it has like no current i cant remeber but the gph is under 400

I've got 2 on my 125g and 1 used one my 39g. Both work great. I got my used one for $50 before the new prices jumped up.

agreed. I love my XP3.

I am thinking of marrying it.

Don't do it man!!! You've got to think of the children!!

.

You can soften the return flow with a spray bar or multiple returns.

And like 12v man said check it first.
