Has anyone experienced this I notice my XP4 leaking from the top cover NOT from the part where the cover and canister meets it's top cover and the lower cover part (Top) it leaks specially from the hole where the electrical wire comes out and when I took off the cover and shake it a lot of water came out from it like it was stuck in there it's good I make it a point to put my XP filters in plastic containers so just incase it leaks almost filled up the bucket do you know what causes this happend to me 2 x already but stll can't find a clue Thank's in advanced.

this has happened to me once before.

check the fit of the aquastop connection (where the hoses are). water was leaking out from this area into the space where the sealed motor was and it was coming out where the electrical cord comes out.

also, check the manual. I am pretty sure there is a specific thing that will cause this and it is listed in there. I will grab mine and see if I can find it.

12 volts got it. caused by either the quick connect valve not being inserted properly or one of the two little "O"rings are bad.

Try taking the "O"rings of and lubing them with vegetable oil, then when setting the quick connect apply pressure with one hand while latching with the other.

Thank you!!! My xp4 started leaking from the cord this morning, also had bubbles coming out of the spray bar. The bubble thing never happened before...

I did take my o rings off and dunked them in some vegetable oil.
not leaking or bubbles...:headbang2

Also want to say thank you on the idea of the filter in the tote. :)

Now my tank is back up to normal.

my xp3 leaked from the cord, but I buddy of mine said just to pull th cord in it out of the top part of the canister and it should fix it and sure enough it did.
Don't know if you tried that or not, but something to try if it happens again.
