Ok I have a 220. 72x24x30. Would 3 emperor 400s and an xp4 be enough with :
-6-8 Severums
- 5 Bala Sharks
- 5 Clown Loaches
- 1 Clown Knife
- 1 Lima Shovel Nose
And possibly a few other fish.
Or do you think I would need more?

I'd say maybe more....I love my Xp's. Don't get me wrong here. Super easy to maintain, quiet with a good amount of room for media, but flow is NOT a strong suit. A fully loaded XP4 flows about 190gph, so if you got around 300-350 gph out of each EMP400 you're looking at turning your tank 5-7 times an hour which actually is pretty good. But you do have some potentially large fish with a pretty decent load. Just my opinion here, but with that load and FX5 might be a better fit.

Probably going to go with my 3 emperor 400s and a odyssey CFS700 with uv 9w sterilizer. How's that sound. ?

Yeah I'm not big on water changes every other day and no I'm severely under stocked ATM just 1 8" Black Belt, 2 7" Bala sharks and a 6" eclipse cat

Ok I went with a Odyssey CFS700 with a 9w UV sterilizer. So I will have this and 3 emperor 400s running.
New stock:
2- Rotkeil Severums
2- Bala Sharks
1- Florida Gar
1- Eclipse catfish

Going to add a lot more but what is everyone's experience with the CFS700?

I have a cfs700 on my 220 with sump and love it. I would recommend one to anyone and I've had mine about 1 1/2 years now and just finally replaced the bulb.
