Here's pics of my Modesta Loaches. I've had these five for approximately six years. Modestas are a really buffed up Loach & are unbelievable scavengers. Never a fear of overfeeding.
These Loaches tend to be a little underrated and I don't see them for sale very often.
Thought the Loach enthusiasts might enjoy viewing.

Certainly underrated for maybe the most plentiful of all loaches.

I highly recommend them, and you have got five great fish.

How big do those beauties get? I've never seen them and I really like them. And also if you don't mind me asking, where did you get them?

My largest Modesta might be a little over five inches. The other four are just a little smaller. They don't grow very fast.
I bought them as juveniles from my LFS. They aren't available very often here, but I occasionally see them for sale on line. The Modestas are often labeled as Red Tail Loaches or Blue Botias.

How big do those beauties get?

I have got a few over eight inches. I have had them twenty years, and they were not small when I got them. I think they can live many decades.

They don't grow very fast.

Beautiful! I have never had them but after getting some clown loaches some time ago, I have been wanting some blue loaches. I don’t see them often available.
