Y/N - Water Conditioner makes foam?

Im right smack in the middle of a big move of my fish to their new indoor pond!

However I have run into a situation I dont understand.

Now I have the pump going, and Im putting a ton of water into my W/D filter...but Im getting a ton of foam for some reason too?

I had to add new water conditioner as my normal tap water is DEATH to my fish right now..

Can a lot of new water Condition add foam to the pond?

I have never head of anything like that....

Did you use any type of cleaner on anything???

cleaner?....No,,
Except for the cleaner that you have to use when you are glueing plastic pipes....(purple cleaner and clear cement)

But that work should have been all dryed as it was finished last week???

What water conditioner did you use? Some that contain "slime coat enhancers" can cause foam....

PETCO water conditioner.

it says on the side ; "Neutralizes Chlorine and Chloramine"
"Helps reduce stress"
"Stimulates Slime Coating"

I never use "stress coats" or "slime coats" so I have no idea....

That could be it though, burt is usually spot on...

yes..........


stress coat can cause foam

melafix and pimafix cause lots of foam
